Too Many Foals
RideCare Camp, July 2016
Sometimes, a picture says more than a thousand words. Ergo, 53 pictures tell quite the story. Riding camp for adults at RideCare by Taulov, Fredericia, Denmark — the pictures appear in no particular order.

So Pretty That Princess
The sunny days in between the torrential rains are being enjoyed to their full extent. Pilar is very fond of being released to graze between the riding pen and the paddocks. There’s not really a lot of grass but she can keep an eye on all the foals from there. She does love those foals so much.
Every summer Ridecare hosts a number of riding camps. There’s always a girl who falls in love with a certain black lady. Meet Emily. Who will it be next week?
This is Emily’s handiwork. Pilar tolerated the braiding with good cheer. She also tolerated riding around to graze, being stood upon, and being fed treats. It’s such hard work, being a horse.
Took the braids out today. Diva is diva. So curly.
Foal #2: Haddingur of RideCare
Last night, Glitta decided to finally deliver! We were all very excited about this as Glitta is not as young as she has been, and she was getting well overdue. Barn owner Caroline had her on surveillance camera and got out there in time to take these wonderful pictures!
The birth went quick and free of complications. It’s amazing how the mares know what to do!
Haddingur of RideCare meets the world. He appears to be black like his father, Skyggnir.
And at last, a picture from this afternoon. Little boy is dried off and exploring the big world outside the box. He is already totally into humans because humans give fantastic scratches.
