Pilar got her new boots today. It’ll take some getting used to. They look utterly ridiculous on her if you ask me. She took roughly two minutes to get used to them. She just walked with high steps for a bit and then, whatevs. If the humans want me to wear silly booties, I’ll wear silly booties.
The reason she wears boots now is flat feet. She is a tad too flat-footed in front and feels every rock and pebble in the surface she steps on. The choice to fix it is boots or shoes. I don’t like shoes. Why? Because once you’ve had to go over an entire muddy paddock on a winter night to find that one, razor-sharp half shoe that your horse lost… Yes.
